Celtic Hoops ?, Lakeshore Select ?
Anyone have the result of this game from last week? Was it postponed until this week by chance? I don't see the result updated on the "Bracket Maker" link either. Just wondering.

Re: Celtic Hoops ?, Lakeshore Select ?
This game had been postponed. It is scheduled to be played this thursday with the other round 1 match-ups.
I update the games as soon as I can confirm the score lines.

Re: Celtic Hoops ?, Lakeshore Select ?
Rough evening for Lakeshore last night. About a month ago Hoops contacted us to reschedule because they would be short players who were still away at college. We obliged and picked a date where all but 1 player said they would make the contest. To our painful surprise, this that and the other thing came up and we played the game with 10 men all after playing a game the night before. No fault of Hoops obviously but we clearly would not have rescheduled had we known.
First half was actually pretty even with Hoops having 2 subs. Chances came about both ways on a pitch that looks like it hasn't been cut yet this year. Both teams had a few opportunities but remained stout defensively. Best chance actually came on a bomb from about 35 out right at the end of the half. Hoops keep made a great fingertip save as the shot was heading for the upper 90. Had that gone in, perhaps things may have been different. Certiainly Lakeshore couldve used the boost.
Second half was controlled mainly by Hoops as basically every Lakeshore guy on the field was cramping up. They had a number of chances and finally finished one with a nice through ball that the forward nicely tucked away. Lakeshore pushed a few times and had some chances off of set pieces, long throw ins and corners but really only had one great chance that clanked off the cross bar. To seal the deal, we lost arguably the best player on the field Steve Fox to a sprained ankle with about 10 left putting us down 2 men and a goal.
Valiant effort by the guys that showed for Lakeshore and good game from Hoops. Good luck to them the rest of the way
