Lakeside FC 7 - Wolfpack 0
I feel like by making their own half-assed thread they thought they could avoid the scoreline in the post title. I think not.
Anthony Domenico opened his Lakeside account about three minutes into the game after a great ball across the front from Steve English. From what I heard the Wolfpack has been decimated by injuries, and they had no response for us last night. Domenico scored again soon after on a great cross from Andre Taulbee. Jay Dry finished a scramble in the box and the half ended 3-0. Trash talking was kept to a relative minimum, but it did start to escalate in the second. Sometime in the first half, due to Lakeside's fragile builds, quick footwork and magical passing, one of the Wolfpack players surmised that we must have gained these "gay" skills from jazzercising. I don't give them credit for continuously telling us that our team was going have a "gay orgy" after the game on the field, but this one bit of trash talk was actually hilarious. Steve English quickly scored in the second half, then did his best imitation of jazzercising in celebration, promptly receiving a yellow. This escalated the talking, but the ref actually gained control nicely, and ended up kicking one their spectators off the bench. Kyle Westerholt scored off a flick head throughball from Eric Derose, Taulbee scored on a rocket launcher shot from 25 yards, and Hector Rodriguez scored after a silky through ball from Pete Marlette. Game ends 7-0.
Big match up against BSC in the semifinals, we always look forward to games against the leagues top dogs.
