Over 35 Playoff Watch
Clinched Playoffs:
Aliens (idle this week - clinch #1 overall with an Azzurri loss)
Azzurri
Can Clinch Playoffs:
Blue
1) Win/Draw vs Oranje
2) Loss and a WS United Draw/Loss
Oranje
1) A win and a WS United loss
Can Be Eliminated from Playoffs:
WS United
1) Loss and an Oranje win
CS Italia (idle this week)
1) An Oranje win
*If Oranje tie, CS Italia is technically still alive, but would need to win out, including defeat Oranje next week by the maximum goal differential of 5. In doing so, they then would then have to defeat Blue by 4.

Re: Over 35 Playoff Watch
Brian;
Was going to offer a state of the division address so thank you for the playoff update.
Last night West Seneca moved into the last playoff slot with a 3-2 win over Azzuri. Oranje lost 3-1. Last minute goal by Dave Tredo on a great volley finished the deal for them. We were pressing....
State of the division;
As usual the Aliens are up top with the roster combination from Valicello/Aliens. Azzuri was playing great team soccer all year until the West Seneca team solved them. Blustars have a great collection of players and one of the best keepers in the BDSL manning their nets. Oranje was in the fourth slot all season till last night - improving the technical deficiencies that had plagued them over the last few seasons. Italia is a good team when Dave L gets his players to show. I look for them to attempt spoiler play next Friday v Oranje. That said - Ricks group from West Seneca has been turning it up and can control their own playoff destiny next Friday v blustars.
League parity was enhanced by the 3 player max on Championship/Premier players. The game competition was closer to the point of frustrated behaviors and too many cards were thrown in this division. We still have a major disciplinary problem with one team and they do bring the others in when they play. That may get changed in a BDSL board choice going into playoffs, stay tuned.
Thank you BDSL board for the sterling work you guys do and thank you EMW for the field usage.

Re: Over 35 Playoff Watch
No problem. Here's a team by team update that you basically already eluded to:
Clinched Playoffs:
Aliens - clinched #1 seed
Azzurri - clinches #2 seed with a win, essentially. Blue would have to win their remaining two games while also surpassing a current goal differential of +12.
Blue - technically can rise to #2 seed, but are basically locked in at #3. They will play Azzurri in the semi-finals
Can Clinch Playoffs:
WS United - win over Blue and they are in as the #4 seed. A draw/loss with an Oranje loss will also get it done. A draw/loss and an Oranje win will eliminate WS United from playoffs
Oranje - must win. They're also looking for some help with either a draw or loss from WS United, in order to grab the 4th and final playoff spot.
Eliminated:
CS Italia

Re: Over 35 Playoff Watch
O35 title stays with the Aliens; 3-3 in regulation then 5-4 in PKs. Dont have a play recap just a scoreline from co-manager Carlos. Congrats on a strong season....
