We got off to a bit of a late start at NU waiting for the lights to kick on. Apparently they're on a timer which doesn't kick on until after its getting fairly dark. We got off to a fast start and went up 1-0 early. I flicked a through ball to Fusillo who got to the end line and slotted it back for Brodfuehrer to finish. We went up 2-0 when Brendan Lawler (back from injury in his first BDSL game of the season) buried a great header from in front of the near post on a Hofschneider corner. Rangers speed up front gave our back line a few problems and they scored to cut it to 2-1. We had taken our foot off the gas a bit and they made us pay. Immediately following, Zack Schwartz picked up the ball and beat what seemed like every Rangers player on the field before hitting the post. The rebound fell to me and I proceeded to miss wide on the open net. Oops. Luckily a few minutes later Ben Mozg cleared a ball up to me at midfield. I settled, turned and played Fusillo a through ball which he dribbled down and cut back to Schwartz. Schwartz held the ball up and played it to an overlapping Loncar who curled it in off the inside of the far post. 3-1 at half.

In the second half Ricky Martinez buried a header on a corner from Hofschneider to make it 4-1. Near the end of the game B. Lawler whipped a good ball into the box for me, but it grazed the center back's head, deflected off another defender's chest and bounced into Rangers' goal. 5-1 final. Good game to Rangers. They played hard and had some good speed up front. Good luck the rest of the way.
