Blizzard 3, WNY United 1

Blizzard had 2 subs today at Mulroy while the Reds brought an army of 19. We started off well but Blizzard scored first, getting a head to a free kick just before our keeper got there. They added another right before halftime, a through ball up the wing and they finished the cross. We came out strong again in the second half but again, it was Blizzard who got one, similar to their second goal. The Reds brought one back as yours truly won a header in the box off a corner, the following shot was blocked by a Blizzard hand in the box, and Ben Dinehart converted the penalty kick. While we pressed forward we couldn't find another goal to make it more interesting. Credit to Blizzard, they're improved from the guys we played last year, and they finished their chances today. We feel like we left a good opportunity out there to keep our season interesting, we were punished for some mistakes on both ends. I can't wait to play again next week.
