Coming off a forfeit win last week we had some rust to shake off, and West Seneca was clearly the better team for most of the first half. Between some shots right at our keeper and some nice saves, they really should've been up several goals at the half. We started to get things together towards half time and created a few chances. The second half with the wind and some more confidence saw us get more numbers forward. West Seneca broke through finally down their right side, and we answered with a long ball from Brandon Tytka expertly headed to the far corner by Chris Duerr. As they say, one of the most dangerous times in a game is when you've just scored, and sure enough West Seneca re-took the lead shortly after on a nice finish in the far corner. We threw the kitchen sink at them down the stretch but couldn't get that tying goal. West Seneca worked some good triangles and had a couple quick players in their attack. We're pleased with getting going better offensively but we weren't at our sharpest tonight.
