United got a little more offense going tonight compared to the first two league games. We controlled a lot of possession in the first half and turned it into some good scoring chances. Aaron Gartner scored a hat-trick in the first 45 minutes, and Steve Woolsey added another halfway through the second. Southtowns buried a nice header to make it interesting. They had some big guys on offense that made things tough for us on crosses and set-pieces. I have to commend Alan Rosenhoch and Pete Ruocco for really controlling a lot of play and winning a lot of balls in the middle. Overall, a good game to continue our progression and the weather was perfect for soccer.
