A beautiful day for some soccer.

The match started out with C.S. Italia short 1 or 2 players. SPAL took immediate advantage and maintained possession before taking the 1-0 lead off a nice left footed strike.

The pace of the game changed as more C.S. Italia players arrived, particularly #9. He is clearly their premier striker and changed the flow of the game immediately as he pressed against the defenders and scored on a nice through ball. SPAL maintained their composure and after working the ball up the wings, managed to maintain possession and take the 2-1 lead into halftime off a nice strike from about 25 yards out.

The second half was evenly played and, outside of some chippy play, remained relatively clean. Cards were given to our keeper and their midfielder off a corner kick resulting from some pushing and shoving, but nothing big. SPAL took the 3-1 lead with about 10 minutes remaining in the match off a left footed strike that caught the keeper out of position.

Overall well played, see you Sunday for the immediate rematch C.S. Italia.
