Post  aeaton Thu Jun 02, 2011 9:51 pm

Pitch was nicely cut a few hard spots and a few ruts from the tractor inside the one 18. Lines were absolutely horrible but we managed. The wind was brutal at times. First half E90 looked as if they controlled the ball a little better than the pack and they were going into the wind as well. Ziccarelli opened the scoring off a nice feed. E90 kept pushing and pounding the pack with shots they finally netted a bad rebound with 2 minutes left in the half to tie it up. Cavalieri netted the packs second of the game and also took back the one goal lead. E90 took a shot probably from 45 out got it high in the air wind carried it and I lost the ball in the sun couldnt see anything got a hand on it but it wasnt enough. 90 minutes came and went and we were at a 2-2 deadlock went into two 5 minute extra times still no one could find the back of the net. Went into PK's and E90 shot first. Wolfpack netted all 4 of the PK chances we had. And E90 netted 3 of there 5 with two diving saves the second save sealed the victory. Great reffing in this game as well he really allowed the game to progress through. E90 great team good luck to you on the rest of your season. Wolfpack great game today boys way to stay alive and keep your heads up!

why is that charlie because a team that you cant stand can actually play? like i had previously said before the season had started i said we might not win every game if we were to play premier or championship teams and in our division for that matter but we will compete with them and guess what we can seeings how we just beat a premier team in pks last night and to confirm they had 2 subs not the entire match but they did show with 12 and a 13th member of E90 showed. why dont you worry about your team before you start worrying about what the wolfpack is doing.

If I wanted to read about some team playing the underdog card, and telling everyone how good they are, I would watch Sportscenter. We are ready for you to prove the league wrong. Win the tehel cup and we can sing your praises at each league meeting. The women of the BDSL will fall in love with you, when you do. Just make sure you save all of the doubting members tickets so we can see the game since it will be a sell out of NWO fans.

1 not playing the underdog card at all I just think it's funny as hell that everyone has to make sure they point out that the wolfpack is not a great team did we ever say we will win everything no did we ever say anything bout being underdogs no reason why is because any team can beat any team on any given day 2 if we win it all that be great do I think we can of course I'm gonna say yes but I know it's not an easy task looking at the teams left by no means can I say we will win and for any team out there you can't say that either since there has been so called upsets if you wish to call them that so if we do win trust me we have teams that I'm sure we will love to say we did it to but whoever beats us or wins the cup obviously were gonna congratulate the team unlike several people / teams that won't do that so obviously we as in wolfpack do have sportsmanship and that's more than you can say about some teams anyone else really wanna chime in? I posted the score to tell people who wanted to know the score not to argue or anything

FYI i contacted theroos manager two or three times for a friendly during the early spring and got a yes at first then no response after the next attempts to set something up.. also why is this underdog card an issue even if we wanted to play it? if a D1 team plays a team 2 divisions above them, should we call the premier team the underdog? is that logical brian?

no one ever said wolfpack wasn't a good team. I will admit myself that they are capable of beating alot of teams and have a good amount of talent. The respect and sportsmanship i wont agree with, is there lack of sportmanship from other teams towards wolfpack because they are sore losers or because wolfpack has players that run there mouths and howl like coyotes while on the pitch?

oh the reds finally spoke up a team we have actually played. okay sportsmanship and respect towards the reds i could agree with you seeings how a lot of the pack does not like playing youre team for the simple thought that youre team loves cheap shots during the games weve played against you. sore losers now thats a new one we have always congratulated a team that has beat us never down about it oh and you havent beat us so where does this come from??? ohhhh i got it now its because you thanked us for losing the last game last year so the reds could get into the playoffs hmmm seems a little like youre team lost our respect towards you there too and dosnt really show sportsmanship either does it?? theres ways you could have done it last summer for instance congratulating hamburg on beating us not thanking us for losing. and some players run there mouth........yeah every team we have ever played there has been players that run there mouth during the game afterwards we might actually have a conversation with them because they were in the game when all emotions are high. and the good ol howling during the game which infact a few players on the team do like to howl when we score a goal think about it were the wolfpack, isnt howling something wolves do?? i dont see anything wrong with that so maybe they wanna have a little fun out there and celebrate a goal whats wrong with that? so if anyone else wants to respond go for it im done with these follow up messeges now and for the reds im sure you have july 24th already highlighted on your calenders and i will look forward to that game those games against you guys are fun both teams step the intensity up a few notches for that im looking forward to it.. AND GOOD LUCK TO EVERY TEAM IN THE BDSL THIS SUMMER IN YOUR RESPECTED DIVISIONS AND THE TEHEL CUP AND WOOD CUP FOR THE TEAMS WE WILL BE PLAYING THIS SUMMER GOOD LUCK TO YOU AS WELL AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE ON THE PITCH COME GAME DAY

Thank you to the Reds for that response considering you are the only team to respond to this thread that actually played us. Our gripe is not with you, it is with the teams who haven't played us and find shelter in that while talking smack. Your comment, "no one ever said wolfpack wasn't a good team" is entirely incorrect and I have been using that to psych up my team all season which is why we fought so hard against E90 on Thursday. Comments like "wolfpack only plays teams in D2+3 to make themselves look better" or the laughter and heckeling when Mr. Kirk made a mistake at the April meeting and said did Wolfpack win the Tehel Cup is what makes us the way we are. By the way, howl like coyotes? Come on, you cant possibly be that blind..

I think we all learned not to rile the Wolfpack who knows what they can accomplish and you will defend yourselves to the death and honestly I have never heard of the Wolfpack as a team before this post sorry but this little engine that could mentality has been very entertaining to watch also your quote of "oh the reds finally spoke up" was magical I can only expect a semifinal run at least from you guys this year in Tehel Cup beating one Premier team means you can easily beat them all if we draw you in any future round we will forfeit due to scaredness if I have to read one more run on sentence I'm going to lose it thank you AND NOW ALL CAPS TO END THE RANT.

Sure, i'll chip in my 2 cents here. Any team can beat any other team on any given day, correct? It doesnt matter whether the team is in Premier or D3. That's why we have the cups each year...because it gives teams an opportunity for high quality competition inside divisions and outside too.

If there is one thing we should all take from this it is to never underestimate your opponent...do your talking on the pitch.

BTW. The howling is actually kind of badass. It gives the wolfpack character. Sure, you hate it when you get scored on, but I dont feel that is bad sportsmanship.

Apparently i shook some Wolfpack players up with that predection about their team. I don't think they are coming after me just on the forums either. The other day i was at the West Seneca library checking out "Posting Pictures on the Internet for Dummies" for Sully. (unfortunately he must have read it) When i came back out to my car, it was spray painted with the letters nWo over the hood and bloody animal carcasses thrown all over the top. Not cool guys, but impressive skinning.

Look Wolfpack, your in D1.

Charlie, sorry I didn't see you at your beer blast. When I walked into Colter Bay for it two guys, who i assume were Lakeside players working the door, told me that in honor of your 3 wins in Premier last year, the third person to arrive to the beer blast won a free massage. Even though it was already nearly a hour past the start time it all sorta still made since to me. The two guys escorted me to some back room with a single table and dimmed the lights. Suddenly my senses were overwhelmed with visual flashes of hot pink jerseys, the strong smell of overly applied Brute cologne, and voices encourging me to strip down to my "birthday suit" while Kings of Leon " Use Somebody" softly played in the background. I ran out and never looked back. If that's how Lakeside FC treats a guest, you sir have lost me for future LFC events. I tried to talk to Donner about it but he had a similiar experience and he said he stayed for the full body rub down and the surprise happy ending.

Adam Eaton, the below sentence has no less than 200 words in it. Someone should check my work, as I haven't had to count that high since grade school. Consider using the occasional punctuation mark. It would make your frequent and enthusiastic posts a great deal more legible.

Adam, a few thoughts: 1. I was not insulting you, I was making an observation about your grammar choices. 2. I too am using a phone. 3. No amount of focus on my part would improve the Reds' chances since I haven't played this season - a direct result of an ACL/Meniscis tear I suffered during last year's match against Elbow Soup. Surgery was in March, so it'll be another month before I am able to compete again. 4. So much for "only talking on the field" and the "sportsmanship" you claim to embody. I suppose sportsmanship would probably be more aptly represented by not responding to your snide remarks with more in kind. 5. Since I can't reasonably expect you to have any real knowledge of my playing ability, I must assume that you looked at my team affiliation and have calculated that I must be below you in skill. In addition to this being in no way logical, it is not a useful assumption for the purposes of the topic. I know nothing about your ability as a player, and will refrain from jumping to the same conclusions you did. I gather that you are a goalkeeper, so any comparison would be of little relevance anyway. Out of sheer curiosity, I have to ask; where did you play your college ball?

I won't get in depth as you just did, as for your injury that does suck. Where did I play college, I played for hilbert one season then left due to a few reasons. That was only my second year as a keeper senior year in high school 1 in college and 3 or 4 in bdsl. I have also played in Germany as part of the section 5 section 6 all star team in high school. Do my creditials pass your grade?

There is no grade, you don't need to prove anything - like I said, I've no intention of judging you as a player, it's not my job and nothing would be gained by such a subjective exercise. I played 3 years at Houghton College, and I remember the overseas trips offered to section all stars from back in high school. I played in Section V for HS. As for overseas, I've played in Sweden, Denmark, and took two trips to play in the Czech Republic. Playing there was a lot of fun, as I'm sure you experienced too - a whole different world. I'm grateful just to have had the opportunity.

Have you always played with WP since school?
