Sure-Footed Tom, Schnirelly Bird, Show Chutzpah, get Clarence Coyotes off Cup Schneid, Shock Sharpshooters

Securing our first Tehel Cup win since 2012 felt great - especially against a strong Amherst side.

Clarence came to play.  We also came with a full bench - 8 in all (5 actives, 2 injures, and Jimmy).  Sief worked his magic this offseason and picked up a few beasts.  These kids have a good attitude, hustle, and have sick skill.  We started the game with most of the control and some nice chances.  From my (nearly permanent) position on the bench, I could see that our squad's form is coming together a bit.  We are playing better together, and individual skill combined with selflessness is netting (pun intended) good results.  

LP1 turns 50 this year.  He has been playing like a spry 30 year old as of late.  Fresh off of our over 30s Mens Epic Championship win this past Sunday (Aliens), he mustered an early game "save of the game": it seemed like he floated in the air for 2 full seconds, sprawling to his right, to paw away a mid speed floater that was making its way in...

I am not sure who scored our first goal (Sief Tweeted that it was Eric 'the Schnirelly Bird Gets the Worm' Schnirel) - but it was nice. 1-0 good guys at half.

Amherst had some chances in the second and capitalized on one.  1-1.  

Clarence played well across the board.  Everyone hustled.  It was fun.  Jaime has speed, finesse, and hustle.  I especially liked his hustle to get back a few times.  PZ was all over the field.  Chris was consistently monstrous in the back.  Austin had two strong finishes to put us up 2 (one was off of a nice initiation pass from JJ) - That guy's foot skill is at the top of the league.  Schnirelly Bird was back to his old form and controlled the middle nicely. Ty and JJ played very well as well.  

With 7 seconds left, Amherst scored a goal.
