Celtic 5 Yemen 1

Post  kingceltic on Thu Jul 02, 2009 12:04 am

Celtic score two in the first half.
Yemen score one in the first half

The story of the first half has to be Ski's save percentage .000 That is golden gloves territory

Celtic adds three more in the second half.

Goals
Al 2
Garrett 1
Mahafy 1 (PK)
Cory 1

This game would have been much closer obviously if it weren't for the racist referee putting all of our goals in. I have never been a victim of racism and I am sure that many of Yemen's players have felt it at least in some form in their lives, but it was kind of sad to hear how many of their players and fans were crying about the racist ref and how that is how they always lose. It was even sadder with how much conviction and belief were in their words. When you whine after every foul and scream at the ref after every foul and call him racist you make yourselves look silly. I feel like some of your players really believed that they did not commit a foul all game. I don't know how many cards you guys had, but were none of them deserved? A little less time looking for excuses and a little more work and the result might not have been so lopsided.
Yemen has some good players and a lot of their players seemed like nice guys, but a few of their teammates make them look ridiculous.

There were several players there that were playing in the game after ours, I would love to hear their thoughts on the game.

Good luck to Yemen the rest of the year unless you have to face Celtic United or Roos.

The only fine for today's game goes to Big Mike Silverstein (10 bucks) for going to softball instead of soccer.

Big Mike went to a retirement party. Mookie was suppose to miss because of softball.

No worries, Roos already beat Yemen, although not as easily as Celtic did. I guess if you adjust the score since the Roos won at Lehigh, a very difficult place to win, the score is Roos 6 Yemen 1.
So, you can deduce, that since Celtic only mustered a 4 goal victory and Roos technically beat Yemen in their house by 5, the Roos are better than Celtic. Lykan it or not, those are just the facts.

Racism is a serious issue. The Roos know how you feel. It's all fun and games, until someone takes it too far. Wish Drew and I could just go out without having other BDSL teams try to attack us. Love a good Skybar and Soho night, until stones are thrown.

Stone Jug last summer
The Devils trying to burn down BSG
Queenston calling the cops on us for drinking
Baker City bartender hitting on Roos girlfriends
Empire 90 contacting Carraba's to give me food poisoning before the game this year
Elbow Soup - Found 2 chicken bones in my soup at Carrabas

Drew, feel free to add more.

When you wear the Roos colors, stuff like this is just daily life
