What type of finish should i use on my wooden cup?

im making a wooden cup im going to take 1"thick pieces of wood and cut them in 4" x 4" and then larger. stack them and glue them and clamp it down real good. what type of glue should i use? and after a laoth it what should i use on the inside to finish it? it will liquid in it alot.
