WOLFPACK 2 Azzuri 3

Once again the West Seneca Soccer Complex fields are in horrible shape. Looked like they attempted to cut the grass however still way to long. Both teams showed with no subs I believe Azzuri played a man down for 20 minutes or so. Both teams were going back and fourth with great chances throughout the first until Nehl netted the packs first goal. A great play by Cavaleri to get down inside the box and dish it to Nehl with a wide open net for a nice tap in. Azzuri fought back and scored a beauty from just outside the 18 with power upper 90. A few minutes later off a set peice they would net another beauty perfectly placed side netting. Just as the Pack went down C.Moonan went post to post flying past everyone grabbed his own rebound and tied the match up. Half time showed a 2-2 scoreline. The second half the wind picked up and was going with Azzuri, about half way through the second Azzuri had a man left all alone around the penalty spot and absolutly crushed it under myself and the dman behind both getting a peice but not enough 3-2. The Wolfpack had chances to tie it late in the match but could not find the back of the net. Tough way to lose after possibly our best showing with no subs, it was dissapointing walking off the pitch last night knowing we could have snagged it. Good luck to Azzuri the rest of the way out and in league play.
