Crimson FC 3 - Ukraine 3

Field dry and hard. Got refs to clean up dog poop before the game so they earned their money. Ukraine had 4 or 5 subs we had 3 which is huge with the numbers we have had lately. Crimson came out flat and Ukraine definitely wanted the win more.

Crimson started the game with clumsy turnover after turnover. Dylan Guarino bailed us out. Tarbell (back from vacation) had a nice run up the left side and slotted the ball over to Jamie who sailed it high. Ukraine would counter off the goal kick with a nice flick that their forward chipped over Dylan's head. 1-0 Ukraine. We would tie it up a little later with a nice flick from Jared Billica to Jamie Asbach who put this one away. Center ref thought it went through the side of the net. AR corrected him. 1-1. Ht.

Ukraine would get another goal very similar to their first. Bad defending yesterday. 2-1 Ukraine. Dylan Cunningham had a beautiful cross field send to Jamie who powered his second into the net by the keeper to tie the game again. Joe Stogner then had a great back heel to Cunningham who danced around a few guys before putting the ball into the side netting. 3-2. Ukraine would tie the game closer to the end on a deflection off a defender back to their forward. Dylan made the initial save but that too went off the forward. I was just a bit too slow to clear it off the line. 3-3. Both teams had a few more chances. Tarbell just missed, hitting post before the end.

Ukraine probably deserved more, we were lazy and were looking past this week and almost paid for it. Props to Yuri and his boys.
