Devils 4 - Stone Jug -0

Perfect day for a soccer game, Devils with 15 (14 healthy) and Stone Jug with 13-14 guys.
Stone Jug got off to a great start with a pressure all over the Devils the first 5-10 minutes. About 14 minutes in Devils had a free kick and Tim Mack put it off the crossbar and it found the leg of Karl Buko. for a 1-0 lead (side note, Charlie Riley noted prior to the game that Karl would score in the 14th minute- he is now buying us all lottery tickets with that perfect prediction) A lot of back and forth soccer, nothing really happening. Devils were able to clear the ball off the line 2 times during the 1st half. T. Mack went down with a knee injury about 20 minutes left in the 1st, hope its nothing serious.
Halftime 1-0 Devils.
2nd Half the Devils found their stride again and had a little more pressure than "The Jug". Matt McKleskey found Matt Chase off a throw in at half, Matt made a great run beating 2-3 guys and placed a left footed shot on keeper who got a little of the ball but it dropped just under the bar for a 2-0 lead. about 15 minutes left. Dan Istas made a great run up the middle and place a perfect ball to Marcus Campbell about 18 yards out who slotted it far post for a 3-0 lead. Minutes later Grant Graves received a ball from the back looked up and found C. Wzontek running with the back line of the defenders - placed a nice bouncing ball and C. Wzontek one timed touched over the keeper who came out to challenge. 4-0. (note C. Wzontek Miss of Year on a perfect display of passing... just forgot how to play soccer on his last touch. now I drink a Ultra or something)
Great game otherwise. Stone Jug keeper made a few good saves and kept the score down. Best of Luck to The Jug on the rest of the season. Richie Weiand with the clean slate. Devils look to improve to 7-0 on Thursday vs Tesla. hopefully we don't have a bare bones crew this week as we did last week.
