Tehel Cup Semis Predictions:BUSS v Yemen Elite

BUSS v Yemen Elite  6:30pm @ West Seneca Soccer Complex:


This contest has all the makings of a classic. At first glance you'd assume we'd been in for a offensive fireworks show based on team reputation alone but that really is not the case. Yemen Elite is closer to that still. If they have Pollock, Raftu, Escobar and Ugorji in the line up then they are one of the best attacking outfits around. Despite playing way from the confines of the Cage they might benefit from the cleaner pitch with their speed and precision. They'll need their defensive line though to firm up though to give their potent midfield time in advanced areas. 

BUSS is another team you'd think attack attack attack orienated but you'd be wrong their. BUSS topped the Premier League in GA (11) so defense has maybe been their strong suit. BUSS is also maybe the only team around that can match Elites speed on the wings. I have to say BUSS has been maybe even a better story then Lazio & Amherst this year which says alot about their season. They made some major signings and have really made a name for themselves in Premier. 

It really comes down to this for me here. What team shows up for Yemen Elite. If Faress has his optimal line up then this should be a awesome game. If not then BUSS could waltz into the finals. these two teams tied 2-2 on the BDSL Opening weekend and I hope the neutrals are in for another great game. BUSS still has a Premier league title to play for while Yemen Elite can focus solely on this. Does that give them an edge? Maybe but I'm not sure it will be enough.

BDSL Predictions: Kevin how do you feel about Michaels prediction of your upcoming Cup match against Yemen Elite?

Kevin: ahh, you know I feel its an accurate prediction. My boys are playing with high confidence, and our positions in both the regular season and cup play fortify that. Yemen is a strong team, and they will undoubtedly not make this one easy for us. I think playing that grudge match against Clarence last week was a wakeup call, but more importantly gave us a glimpse of the intensity we need to have if we wish to advance.


BDSL Predictions: With the reverse fixture with Amherst Sharpshooters in the Regular Season play, how will you prepare your team to focus on this upcoming Cup match?

Kevin: Good question. Honestly, we are taking it one game at a time. We understand that every Cup game is potentially our last game, and thats the approach we take to every game.


BDSL Predictions: Any words for the Yemen Elite Manager Faress?

Kevin: Yeah bring it! And we hope to have his support in the Finals.
