WNY United 2, DSC 2

The Reds came back twice Sunday afternoon to eventually draw Delaware 2-2. We knew it would be a challenge playing against a fast opponent on a large turf field, and DSC used their speed to score early, a cross that was directed in at the goal mouth. United replied soon with a shot to the low far corner by Chris Duerr. Both teams repeated this process - DSC hit us on the run after a giveaway, then we scored another one to the far low corner, this time by Matt Dobson. We had some good chances in the second half but we're happy to take a point on the road against a team above us in the standings. While it was hot out, I'll take it over the conditions last year against them - that end of May nor'easter where it was a wind chill of 34 and blowing rain. A point keeps our slim playoff hopes alive.
