Yemen United 3-2 Clarence

Post  YemenUnited on Sat May 25, 2013 6:45 pm

So both teams came into the game with more than enough players. The field wasn't good at all, but when was it ever at "The Cage"? Fans surrounded the field, looking forward to this game between a Premier and 1st Division team. Some players on the Yemen team were looking for revenge from the 4-0 loss last year against Clarence. Drums were beating and the fans were screaming, very exciting. So in the beginning of the game Clarence came out strong bringing the pressure to Yemen's defense, scoring the first goal of the game. Yemen wouldnt let that bring them down by scoring 3 unanswered goals with the first coming from Bassam Harhara's scissor kick, second was a beautiful pass from to Abdul Zaid to Ali M. then showing off his burst of speed and drilling it into the back of the net, and the 3rd was set up beautiful from Ali. M to Mukhtar, with a rocket from Hesham into the back of the net against Clarence. The fans erupted into joy after each and every goal scored by Yemen. Clarence still kept attacking and they were awarded with a PK after a clip in the box, but he ripped way over the bar and again the fans screamed to the top of their lungs after the miss. After back and forth possession from both Yemen and Clarence, Clarence gave a beautiful ball to their forward, he duked the goalie but he shot it wide after a defender disrupted his shot on the open net. And at the end of the half Yemen was up 3-1. Second half yemen tried bunkering their defense but Clarence still brought the pressure and scored a goal by an attempt of a Yemen player trying to save it from going in their net with no avail in the middle of the 2nd half. And as time was winding down minute by minute Clarence still kept the pressure but the Yemen United defense and goalie weren't gonna let this game slip out their grasp. With about a couple minutes left, a Clarence player ripped a shot that hit the bar and went out of bounds. Finally when the final whistle blew Yemen United players and fans all ran to the middle of the field and celebrated the win. Great game, game got a little chippy here and there, refs gave out a couple yellow cards, but refs were great and they kept everything from getting out of hand. Clarence is a great team and I wish them nothing but the best for the rest of their season.
