Buffalo Celtic started down a man for the first fifteen minutes or so, and Lakeside controlled play from the get go. Lots of possession did not really lead to any chances until about twenty minutes in, when lightning struck. Off a Lakeside free kick, a well saved ball lay waiting in goal area, with no Celtic defenders near. Suddenly, a Lakeside player could be seen streaking down the pitch. The speed and agility of this player was unmatched as his curly locks bounded in the breeze created by his stride. It was as though the hand of God had reached down and anointed this young man with physical prowess only before existing in legend. This player met the ball with such force that all the Celtic goalie could do was get out of the way. The pure fury of this strike could be felt throughout the area, and by the foot of yours truly, Lakeside took a 1-0 lead.

Lakeside newcomer Jay Dry then scored on a through ball with a great finish into the side netting, and not soon after, Steve English netted Lakeside's third of the game. Second half saw many Lakeside chances go begging, and Celtic score a goal on a nice run. Towards the end, Lakeside held off a couple Celtic chances, including one great save from our keep. Lakeside advances.
