Gorgeous day for some soccer, NBFC with 12 and Devils with 15 (14 after half time)
NB parked the bus pretty early in the 18. Devils didn't get on the board until maybe the 20th minute when J. Nowak made a nice run, got cleaned out, ball rolled to C. Wzontek who played a streaking Matt chase. beat the last defender and slide it near post for a 1-0 lead. Ref made a nice possession non-call on the play. 2nd goal game about 10 mins later as a new addition to the Devils A. Fusani scored on his 2nd shot of his career, assist from K. Bukoweicki (who had himself a day today). 2-0 at half.
I'm going to forget how the majority of these goals played out but we moved some guys around throughout the 2nd half. Recently resigned R. Acanfora was found by K. Bukoweicki who placed it in. Minutes later almost same goal as Shawn Powers was far post pass from K. Bukoweicki again. M. Wzontek found Matt chase far post from the opposite side, who was able to get it passed the keeper for his 2nd of the day. Charlie Riley found C. Wzontek coming down the line on a throw in unmarked, beat a defender chipped goalie, hit crossbar and fell to A. Fusani for his 2nd goal. Karl Bukoweicki AGAIN found Charlie Riley playing up from defense at the 18 who took a ripper for his 1st of the season. Late in the game B. Wzontek got on the board as R. Acanfora dropped a ball to the 18 and was placed nicely into the side netting. 8-0 win for Devils, well fought game by NBFC. Best of Luck the rest of the season. 3 games remaining 2 points behind Revolution for the league title. lets see how this plays out. Beers were had per usual after the game.
