The weather was predicted to be an issue at the Tritown fields on Sunday, but fortunately the worst it got was a very slight rain/mist.

We (Niagara) controlled most of the first half. We were able to connect passes from the back through the mid and eventually on to our strikers, which led to quite a few offensive chances. Our only goal came from a thru pass by yours truly onto the foot of Kyle Jones who was able to penetrate toward the net, take a shot that was met with a great save by the Rangers GK, and score off his own rebound.

Rangers came out very strong in the 2nd half and kept their feet on the gas pedal. They created a handful of chances that caused a bit of panic, but nothing that GK Jeremy Kraska couldn't handle. Rangers control of the game in the 2nd half almost got them an equalizer but we were able to fend them off to the final whistle.

Some comments...
Good game all around by both teams. For Niagara, particularly good games to Kyle Jones and Cesar Carlin. Carlin was able to win us a handful of free kicks with his quick feet and evasion abilities. Jones' speed and ability to generate chances really showed and certainly helped us get the win.

Good luck the rest of the way, Rangers.
