Well there were a lot of goals to no goals. The team was pretty motivated after the C+ Mike Schieber gave us, mentioning maybe we shouldn't have changed goalies. Game was pretty straight forward with a minor hiccup where Mike Asbach (Crimson) and Chris Duerr (Reds) got into a "fight." More on that later.

1st Half:
Crimson had more possession. Pretty clean game by both sides to start but then started to get a little chippy/divey towards the end. Jared Billica took a corner kick which Mike Asbach headed in, redeeming his previous miss. 1-0. Mike Asbach then sent a long ball to Dan Tarbell who put his first in. 2-0. Fenesse Henry then took the ball from outside the 18 and slotted it into the box where August Cadle made it 3-0. Half was called early due to tempers from the double red.

2nd Half:
Both teams played with 10 men. We changed from 4-2-3-1 to a 4-4-1. Starts to get fuzzy here. In no particular order, Fenesse got his first goal from August who pretty much mirrored his goal but reversed the play. 4-0. Mark Passintino would lob a long ball over to Jamie Asbach who dribbled it into the 18 and put it into the side netting. 5-0. Brendan Altman moved the ball over to Dan Tarbell who got his second by walking around the keeper. 6-0. Rob Mackowski would tap in a rebound from a shot from Joe Stogner. 7-0. Jared Francisosa would play the ball into a streaking Dan Tarbell for his hat trick. 8-0. Fenesse would then get his second goal from a long ball by Nate Mackowski on a break-a-way making it 9-0. Game was called after that goal.

Red Card:
Unfortunate that it happened. Maybe they both will get overturned. Neither one deserved a RC but if one got one our argument was that both should. Brandon Claps took the ball away from Chris Duerr who ended up on the ground and took exception to it. While still on the ground kicked at Brandon Claps knee from behind which garnered screams from the sideline. Ref wanted to play possession but should have called it there. Mike Asbach, standing right there, got into Chris Duerr's face and shoved him away yelling at him. Duerr then charged at Asbach to which Asbach stepped to the side and pushed him down. On the way down Duerr backhanded Asbach. Ref gave a straight red to Asbach and only a yellow to Duerr which was surprising. In our eyes both should have received a yellow. The center ref did let me talk to him for a bit, my point was that either both should stay or both should leave if it were a fight. He then talk to his assistant who was right next to it and she told him that Duerr indeed made contact with Asbach which led the ref to throwing him out of the game. Hopefully both get changed. Reds could use Duerr and we could use Asbach. It was nothing more then a minor altercation that should've been just a yellow.

If they both ended up with a red card, I would be shocked if they were overturned. I don't think a red card has EVER been reversed (granted, this might be a huge assumption here, but I am pretty sure it is correct). Not that they never should have, it is just that the league doesn't want to go against the ref. Good luck with that though.....

Yeah we talked to the board and a few other managers and they all seem to have the same sentiment, that it is a waste and never works. It's too bad, seems like a broken system if it never works or the most likely case is the suspension goes from 3 games to 2. From what I was told on how the process works it does seem like a strange appeal system.
